Le plus beau livre de photographie que je connaisse a un an. Il est signé Brigitte Ollier pour le texte, un texte désuet et erudit comme elle sait les tourner mieux que personne. Et c'est Vincent Mercier qui a réalisé avec modestie et ampleur une série de photos sublimes de simplicité.
Le livre s'appelle "John Ford Point" en hommage au plus grand peintre du cinéma américain, et de sa plus belle invention, MONUMENT VALLEY, un endroit où personne n'avait jamais vécu avant et encore moins filmé.
Pour Ford, tout ce qui est beau est filmable.

Ah, revoir John Ford et mourir, c'est désormais possible. C'est ici et maintenant, là, tout de suite ....
