sweet story of a song: charley patton/moon going down (1930)/howlin' wolf/crying at daybreak (1950)/butch cage/c. edwards/smokestack lightnin'(1960)

charley patton sang and composed it first/howlin' wolf adapted it twice (this is the first version)/but i believe the more recent sixties version by butch cage and clarence edwards to be in fact ... the older one, the first one, the dancing hypnotic string band archaic original version

and now, here's ice cream for crows
.... captain beefheart's ultimate 1982 version of charley patton/howlin' wolf/butch cage/clarence edwards' kind of archaic jumping and dancing blues

al green/eli's game (1972): sweet masterpiece in strange falsetto funk style, curtis mayfied's way

when john ford goes vaudeville, playin' black and white minstrel with stepin fetchit and will rogers in the sweet and lazy "judge priest"(1934)

john ford talks about his best film, steamboat 'round the bend (1935, with the great will rogers)

bert williams (1919)/sweet original black minstrel (a black man ... disguised as a black man)

emmett miller/he's a blues singer from alabama/jimmie rodgers/blue yodel n° 1/ sweet black and white original country music

skip james/devil got my woman (1966, howlin' wolf is listening, then leaves impatiently)/sweetest of sweet blues (filmed in newport by alan lomax)

angry howlin' wolf explains what the blues is to angry and drunk son house, then he sings meet me at the bottom/son house explains what the blues is, then he sings levee camp blues (1966)

the sweetest of all delicate crooners:ukulele ike (cliff edwards)/oh honey, it's so funny (1935)

al bowlly/melancholy baby (1930)/sweet british prince of crooners from greece and lebanon

al bowlly was born in 1899 in lourenço marques, in the then portuguese colony of mozambique, to greek and lebanese parents who met en route to australia and moved to south africa ... he was brought up in johannesburg .... his success was mainly in great britain, where he was killed by a parachute mine in 1941

lee morse/a million me's (1930)/sweet mixture of styles (ballad, jazz, yodel, country, torch, screen queen) for a sweet new re-definition of music

lee morse (1897_1954) was a beautiful woman who invented a whole new bizarre style ... she did wonders on screen and in vaudeville ... her only problem was that she drank too much ... it ruined her life and her career

sweet arthur "big boy" crudup/that's alright mama/sweet "harmonica" frank floyd (three songs from german tv)/the real birth of rock and roll

charlie rich/renée (sweet forgotten country soul ballad by the silver fox)/films d'occasion production

hoover/absolute zero/sweet forgotten country rebel

sweet forgotten country genius, the very first real outlaw, recorded around 1950/first real punk of country music (thanks to kinky friedman's sphincter records who re-released this lost treasure)/films d'occasion production

darby and tarlton/sweet white blues, sweet harmony, sweet slide guitar, sweet yodel

travelin' along/little ola (1929/1930)/films d'occasion production... ... great harmony, fabulous yodel ..... they influenced everybody, from the louvin brothers to the everly brothers, the beatles, and bob dylan too
