kokomo arnold /the kinks

back in 1965, i was a hard lover of the blues ... i'd been listening to stuff like charley patton, skip james, robert wilkins, for years ... in chicago, i only got to see muddy waters and lightnin' hopkins, but i longed for many others: blind willie mc tell, peg leg howell, robert pete williams, ..

i had a real passion for kokomo's arnold original version of milk cow blues (1934)

... i also loved elvis presley's early version and eddie cochrans' ... back ten, i didn't know yet that the kinks also recorded a brilliant version of milkcow blues ... with dave davies introducing the song, and his brother ray singing the second verse..
